Predictions For Premier League Gameweek 11

It’s that time of the week when I attempt to predict the outcomes of the upcoming Premier League games. I didn’t do well last week with no perfect predictions, four correct outcomes and six incorrect outcomes which saw me drop to fourth place in my predictions league. Here’s a look at how the top five in that league stands.

I didn’t have a good week with my fantasy team last week as my decision to bring Ollie Watkins in and make him my captain backfired when he reverted to the form he had when he was in my team earlier in the season. With City playing at home to Bournemouth this week I will be reverting to Erling Haaland and I would imagine he will be by far the most popular captain this week. Of course Mohamed Salah could have a very good week away to Luton too and Son Heung-Min might not do badly either.

The last three weeks haven’t been good for me and I have managed to lose most of the ground I had made up in the previous few weeks. I’m still hopeful of doing well this season, but I need to give up the ghost on a few players starting with Bruno Fernandes. The chances are I will have to sell Kieran Trippier if I want to bring Mohamed Salah in, but it’s a sacrifice I’ll have to make.

Saturday November 4

Fulham v Manchester United

12.30pm GMT, Craven Cottage, London

Fulham drew 1-1 away to Brighton last week and they’re only one point off the top half of the table. They have won two of their last three home games, but only Luton have scored less goals on their own ground. They have only won once in their last five games with only four other teams scoring less goals, but they will feel they have a very good chance against a struggling United side.

I’m not sure there are any Fulham players to recommend to fantasy managers at the moment.

United lost 3-0 at home to City last week and they’re now eight points off the top four. They have won their last two away games, but they were against the bottom two teams in the table with only Sheffield United scoring less goals on the road. They have lost half of their games so far and they have only scored six goals in their last seven games.

I’m not sure there are any United players doing enough to interest fantasy managers at the moment, but they do have a good run of games coming up.

I think this will be a close game and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it end in a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Brentford v West Ham United

3pm GMT, Gtech Community Stadium, London

Brentford won 2-0 away to Chelsea last week and that win moved them back into the top half of the table. They won their last home game after failing to win the previous four and no other team has drawn more games on their own patch. They have won their last two games after failing to win the previous six, but they have two very tough games after this one.

Bryan Mbeumo is the Brentford player most likely to return points for fantasy managers.

West Ham lost 1-0 at home to Everton last week and they’re now only one point ahead of Brentford going into this game. They have lost their last two away games and they conceded seven goals in those two defeats with no other team in the top half of the table conceding more away goals. They have lost four of their last six games, but they only play one of the big six in their next seven games.

Jarrod Bowen is in good form for fantasy managers with a very good record away from home in particular.

I think this will be another very close game and a share of the spoils is the most likely result.

Prediction: 1-1

Burnley v Crystal Palace

3pm GMT, Turf Moor, Burnley

Burnley lost 2-1 away to Bournemouth last week and that defeat saw them drop to second last in the table. They are the only team without a point on their own ground and no other team has conceded more goals at home. They have lost their last three games and they conceded nine goals in those games with only Sheffield United conceding more goals.

I can’t see any Burnley players to recommend to fantasy managers at the moment.

Palace lost 2-1 at home to Spurs last week, but they’re still only one point off the top half of the table. They have lost two of their last three away games and they conceded seven goals in those two defeats with only Sheffield United scoring less goals away from home. They have only won once in their last six games and they only scored three goals in those games with only Sheffield United scoring less goals.

Joachim Andersen has done well for fantasy managers so far and they have a good run of games coming up.

I think Palace will put more pressure on Burnley by taking the maximum points in this game.

Prediction: 1-2

Everton v Brighton And Hove Albion

3pm GMT, Goodison Park, Liverpool

Everton won 1-0 away to West Ham last week and that win saw them open up a five point gap over the bottom three. They won their last home game after losing the previous four with only Luton scoring less goals on their own patch. They have won three of their last five games and they scored eight goals in those games after only scoring two in their first five.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin might just be the Everton player for fantasy managers to watch.

Brighton drew 1-1 at home to Fulham last week and they’re now six points off the top four. They have lost their last two away games and they conceded eight goals in those two defeats, but their next two away games are against teams in the bottom six. They have only taken two points from their last four games after winning five of their first six with only Villa and Newcastle scoring more goals.

Kaoru Mitoma is the Brighton player most likely to do well for fantasy managers at the moment.

I think Brighton should be strong enough in attack to take all the points in this game.

Prediction: 1-3

Manchester City v Bournemouth

3pm GMT, Etihad Stadium, Manchester

City won 3-0 away to United last week to stay two points behind Spurs at the top of the table. They have won all four of their home games and no other team has conceded less goals on their own ground. They have some difficult games after this one, but this game should be the exact opposite of difficult.

Erling Haaland showed exactly how valuable he is to fantasy managers at the moment with Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden very good options too.

Bournemouth came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Burnley last week and that win moved them out of the relegation zone. They have only taken one point on the road with only Sheffield United scoring less goals away from home. The win against Burnley was their first win of the season and only Sheffield United have scored less goals.

Dominic Solanke is still the Bournemouth player who can make a difference for fantasy managers.

I can’t see anything other than a comfortable City victory in this game.

Prediction: 4-0

Sheffield United v Wolverhampton Wanderers

3pm GMT, Bramall Lane, Sheffield

United lost 5-0 away to Arsenal last week and they’re still rooted to the foot of the table with only one point so far. Only Burnley have taken less points and conceded more goals on their own patch while only Luton have scored less goals. They have lost their last six games and they conceded 22 goals in those games with no other team conceding more goals.

I can’t see any United players to recommend to fantasy managers at the moment.

Wolves drew 2-2 at home to Newcastle last week and they’re only one point off the top half of the table. They have taken seven points from their last four away games and three of their next four games are on the road. They’re unbeaten in five games after losing four of the previous five, but they have only kept one clean sheet in their 10 games.

Hwang Hee-Chan is the Wolves player for fantasy managers to have at the moment now that Pedro Neto is injured.

I think Wolves will continue to climb the table with another three points in this game.

Prediction: 0-2

Newcastle United v Arsenal

5.30pm GMT, St. James’ Park, Newcastle

Newcastle drew 2-2 away to Wolves last week and they now have to make up six points on the top four. They have won their last three home games without conceding a goal, but their next three home games are all against big six teams. They have taken 14 points from their last six games and they scored 19 goals in those games with no other team scoring more goals.

Anthony Gordon is probably the attacking Newcastle player to have for fantasy managers while Kieran Trippier is a very good choice too.

Arsenal won 5-0 at home to Sheffield United last week to move up to second place ahead of City on goals scored. They’re one of two teams still unbeaten away from home and no other team has conceded less goals on their travels. Only Villa and Newcastle have scored more goals with only City conceding less and they don’t play any of the other big six teams in their next seven games.

Bukayo Saka is the best of the Arsenal players for fantasy managers and I think Eddie Nketiah is still a bit of a risk despite his hat trick last week.

I can’t see there being too much between these two teams and a draw is probably the most likely outcome.

Prediction: 2-2

Sunday November 5

Nottingham Forest v Aston Villa

2pm GMT, City Ground, Nottingham

Forest lost 3-0 away to Liverpool last week and they’re now only two places above the relegation zone. They are still unbeaten at home, but no other team has drawn more games on their own patch. They haven’t won in six games, but they drew four of them and no other team has drawn more games.

I can’t see any Forest players doing enough at the moment to interest fantasy managers.

Villa won 3-1 at home to Luton last week to stay in fifth place just one point off the top four. They have taken seven points from their last four away games, but they have struggled to get goals on the road compared to the amount they score at home. They have taken 16 points from their last six games and they scored 18 goals in those games with no other team scoring more goals.

Ollie Watkins, Moussa Diaby, Matty Cash and Douglas Luiz are all in very good form for fantasy managers right now.

I think Forest will make a game of it, but the chances are Villa will win this game.

Prediction: 1-2

Luton Town v Liverpool

4.30pm GMT, Kenilworth Road, Luton

Luton lost 3-1 away to Villa last week and that defeat meant they dropped back into the bottom three. Only Burnley have taken less points at home and no other team has scored less goals on their own ground. They have only taken one point from their last four games and they haven’t kept a clean sheet so far.

Carlton Morris is the only Luton player who should even cross the radar of fantasy managers.

Liverpool won 3-0 at home to Luton last week to stay in fourth place and they’re only three points off the top of the table. They have only taken one point from their last two away games, but four of their next six away games are against the bottom four teams. They only play one of the other big six teams in their next six games and only Villa and Newcastle have scored more goals.

Mohamed Salah is a must have for fantasy managers at the moment while Darwin Nunez might just be worth considering too and Konstantinos Tsimikas is a good cut price temporary option.

I can’t see anything other than a comprehensive Liverpool victory in this game.

Prediction: 0-3

Monday November 6

Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea

8pm GMT, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London

Spurs won 2-1 away to Palace last week to stay on top of the table with 26 points from their first 10 games. They’re one of four teams with a 100% record at home and no other team has conceded less goals on their own patch. They have won their last four games, but they have a tough run of games coming up which will be a real test of their title credentials.

Son Heung-Min and James Maddison are the Spurs players to have for fantasy managers at the moment.

Chelsea lost 2-0 at home to Brentford last week to put an end to their mini revival and they fell back into the bottom half of the table as a result. They have taken seven points from their last three away games with only Arsenal conceding less goals on their travels. They have only won three of their 10 games and this is the first of five very hard games in a row.

Raheem Sterling is the only Chelsea player for fantasy managers to even consider at the moment.

Despite Chelsea’s disappointing season so far I think they might just be able to get a point from this game.

Prediction: 1-1

That’s it for this week.

See you next week.
