Predictions For Premier League Gameweek 13

It’s that time of the week again when I attempt to predict the outcomes of the upcoming Premier League games. I didn’t have a good week last week despite having three perfect predictions because I only managed one correct outcome and I had six incorrect outcomes which saw me drop to seventh place in my predictions league. Here’s a look at how the top five in that league stands.

Pos  Player                 Res  Cls  Exa  Slm   Pts

1.     andy                    10     60     42     9   121

2.     SeniorBurger      15     49.5  42     9  115.5

3.     Orlando Pirates   21    48     33     11   113

4.     Gooners              16    42     48     7    113

5.     Murray1886        14     51     39      8   112

I didn’t have a good week with my fantasy team either with Igor Thiago’s missed penalty hitting me badly. Erling Haaland didn’t return anything as my captain either, but he will be keeping the armband this week with a home game against Leeds. Besides Thiago I got points from Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guehi, Marcos Senesi and Bukayo Saka, but I lost some ground in the overall rankings.

I made two transfers last week with Bryan Mbuemo coming in, but he didn’t do anything for me. I intend rolling my transfer this week so I can bring an Arsenal defender in next week after having to sell the injured Gabriel Magahlaes last week. I also have to be wary of the amount of players I have who will be playing in the African Cup of Nations early in the New Year.

Saturday November 29

Brentford v Burnley

3pm GMT, Gtech Community Stadium, London

Brentford lost 2-1 after leading away to Brighton last week and they missed a last minute penalty too, but they’re only two points off the top half of the table. They have taken 13 points from their six home games with only two other teams scoring more goals on their own ground. They have won four of their last seven games with no other team in the bottom half of the table scoring more goals.

Igor Thiago is the Brentford player who can make a difference for fantasy managers.

Burnley lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea last week and that defeat left them only one place above the bottom of the table. They have lost five of their six away games with no other team conceding more goals on the road. They have lost their last three games and they conceded seven goals in those games with only Wolves and West Ham conceding more goals.

Josh Cullen is the Burnley player who can offer real value to fantasy managers.

I think Brentford will continue their impressive home form with another three points in this game.

Prediction: 3-1

Manchester City v Leeds United

3pm GMT, Etihad Stadium, Manchester

City lost 2-1 away to Newcastle last week to drop to third place and leave them seven points behind Arsenal. They have won their last five home games with only Arsenal taking more points on their own patch and no other team scoring more goals. They have won five of their last seven games and they have a great run of games coming up with no other team scoring more goals.

Erling Haaland is still a must have for fantasy managers and he could do very well in this game.

Leeds led at home to Villa last week, but they ended up losing 2-1 and that defeat dropped them into the relegation zone on goal difference. They have lost five of their last six away games with only Burnley and Bournemouth conceding more goals on their travels. They have lost their last three games and they conceded eight goals in those games with only Wolves scoring less goals.

I’m not sure there are any Leeds players to interest fantasy managers at the moment.

I can’t see anything other than a comfortable City victory in this game.

Prediction: 4-0

Sunderland v Bournemouth

3pm GMT, Stadium of Light, Sunderland

Sunderland lost 1-0 away to Fulham last week and that defeat saw them fall back to seventh place, but they’re only two points off the top four. They’re one of five teams still unbeaten at home, but only Palace have drawn more games on their own ground. They haven’t won in three games and they have some very tough games coming up with no other team in the top half of the table scoring less goals.

Sunderland’s keeper and defenders are good options for fantasy managers along with Granit Xhaka.

Bournemouth came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to West Ham last week and that point was just enough to keep them in the top half of the table. They have only taken two points from their last four away games with only Burnley conceding more goals on the road. They have only taken one point from their last three games and they conceded nine goals in those games with no other team in the top half of the table conceding more goals.

If he’s fit to play Antoine Semenyo can do a very good job for fantasy managers.

I think this will be a very close game with a draw being the most likely outcome.

Prediction: 1-1

Everton v Newcastle United

5.30pm GMT, Hill Dickinson Stadium, Liverpool

Everton won 1-0 away to United last week and they’re only outside the top half of the table because United have scored more goals than them. They have only lost one of their six home games with only four other teams conceding less goals on their own patch. They have won their last two games after only winning one of the previous six, but only two other teams have scored less goals.

Jordan Pickford, James Tarkowski and Iliman Ndiaye are the Everton players to have for fantasy managers while Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could be worth a punt at his price too.

Newcastle won 2-1 at home to City last week and they’re three points and three places behind Everton going into this game. They’re one of three teams still without a win away from home, but no other team has drawn more games on their travels and only Wolves have scored less goals. They had lost two games in a row before beating City and only two other teams have scored less goals.

Nick Woltemade and Bruno Guimaraes are probably the best bets in the Newcastle team for fantasy managers while Harvey Barnes has done well recently too.

I think Everton sure be good enough at home to take all the points in this game.

Prediction: 2-1

Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham

8pm GMT, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London

Spurs lost 4-1 away to Arsenal last week and that defeat saw them drop to ninth place. They have only won once in their six home games with only Wolves taking less points on their own ground and only two other teams scoring less goals. They have only taken one point from their last three games and they conceded seven goals in those games.

I’m not sure there are any Spurs players doing enough to interest fantasy managers at the moment.

Fulham won 1-0 at home to Sunderland last week and that win moved them three points clear of the bottom three. They are one of three teams without a win away from home with no other team taking less points on the road and only three other teams scoring less goals. They have won two of their last three games after losing the previous four, but only two other teams have scored less goals.

I’m not sure there are any Fulham players to recommend to fantasy managers either.

I think Spurs will get a badly needed home win in this game, but it will be close.

Prediction: 2-1

Sunday November 30

Crystal Palace v Manchester United

12pm GMT, Selhurst Park, London

Palace won 2-0 away to Wolves last week and that victory moved them up to fifth place. They’re one of five teams still unbeaten at home, but they have drawn four of their six games with no other team drawing more games on their own patch. They have taken seven points from their last three games after only taking one in the previous three with only Arsenal conceding less goals.

Palace’s defenders and keeper are good options for fantasy managers, but Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta just aren’t consistent enough.

United lost 1-0 at home to Everton last week, but they just about managed to hold on to their place in the top half of the table. They have only won once in their six away games with only four other teams conceding more goals on their travels. They were unbeaten for five games before losing to Everton and they have a great run of games coming up.

Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes are the United players who should interest fantasy managers.

I think Palace will be too good at home and should win narrowly.

Prediction: 2-1

Aston Villa v Wolverhampton Wanderers

2.05pm GMT, Villa Park, Birmingham

Villa came from behind to win 2-1 away to Leeds last week and that win moved them into the top four. They have won their last four home games and they scored 10 goals in those games. They have won six of their last seven games, but Sunderland are the only team in the top half of the table to have scored less goals.

Morgan Rogers looks like he might have found some form and he could do very well for fantasy managers in this game.

Wolves lost 2-0 at home to Palace last week to leave them rooted to the foot of the table nine points from safety. They one of three teams still without an away win with no other scoring less goals on the road. They’re the only team without a win with no other team scoring less or conceding more goals.

I can’t see any Wolves players to recommend to fantasy managers at the moment.

I think Villa will strengthen their position in the top four with another win in this game.

Prediction: 2-0

Nottingham Forest v Brighton And Hove Albion

2.05pm GMT, City Ground, Nottingham

Forest won 3-0 away to Liverpool last week and that win moved them out of the relegation zone. They won their last home game after only taking one point from the previous four. They have won their last two games after failing to win the previous nine and they have a good run of games coming up.

Morgan Gibbs-White is the in form Forest player for fantasy managers

Brighton came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Brentford last week and that win saw them rise to sixth place. They have only won once in their six away games, but that was against Chelsea and their next two games on their travels after this one are both very difficult. They have only lost once in their last eight games, but only Palace have drawn more games.

Danny Welbeck and Yankuba Minteh are the Brighton players fantasy managers need to look at.

This isn’t an easy game to call, but I think a draw is the most likely outcome.

Prediction: 1-1

West Ham United v Liverpool

2.05pm GMT, London Stadium, London

West Ham led 2-0 away to Bournemouth last week, but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw which was just enough to move them out of the relegation zone on goal difference. They have won their last two home games after losing the previous four with only Wolves conceding more goals on their own ground. They have taken seven points from their last three games after only taking one in the previous six, but only Wolves have conceded more goals.

Jarrod Bowen is the best bet in the West Ham team for fantasy managers while Callum Wilson has done well recently too.

Liverpool lost 3-0 at home to Forest last week and that defeat saw them drop into the bottom half of the table. They have lost their last four away games and they conceded 10 goals in those games, but surely the rot has to stop soon. They have lost six of their last seven games and they conceded 15 goals in those games with only the bottom four conceding more goals.

Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah look like the best choices for fantasy managers in a struggling Liverpool team.

I think Liverpool will get the better of West Ham in a very close game.

Prediction: 1-2

Chelsea v Arsenal

4.30pm GMT, Stamford Bridge, London

Chelsea won 2-0 away to Burnley last week and that win saw them climb to second place in the table with only today’s opponents above them. They have only taken 10 points from their six home games and they have fared better away from home so far. They have won five of their last six games and they kept clean sheets in four of those games with only Arsenal and City scoring more goals.

The Chelsea defenders and keeper are looking good for fantasy managers at the moment along with Pedro Neto, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

Arsenal won 4-1 at home to Spurs last week to increase their lead at the top of the table to six points. Arsenal have taken 13 points from their six away games with no other team taking more points or conceding less goals on their travels. They have taken 23 points from their last nine games with no other team scoring more or conceding less goals.

Arsenal’s defenders and keeper are great choices for fantasy managers with Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka performing well too.

I think this will be a very tight game with Arsenal proving to be just too strong for Chelsea.

Prediction: 1-2

That’s it for this week.

See you next week.
