Predictions For Premier League Gameweek 13

It's that time of the week again when I attempt to predict the outcomes of the upcoming Premier League games. I did quite well last week with eight correct outcomes and two incorrect, but I didn't manage to get any perfect predictions. That improvement moved me up a few more places in my predictions league, but I'm still a long way behind the leaders. Here's how the top five in my league stands.

Friday November 24

West Ham United v Leicester City

8pm GMT, London Stadium, London

West Ham lost away to Watford last week and David Moyes already realises he has a tough task on his hands to avoid the drop. They have lost three of their five home games and only four teams have conceded more goals at home. They haven't won in five games and they conceded 12 goals in those games with no other team conceding more goals.

Manuel Lanzini still looks like he could do well for fantasy managers, but it could take a while for the players to find their feet under the new manager.

Leicester lost 3-0 at home to City last week and they have struggled against the better teams in the league, but West Ham aren't one of them. They have only won once in six away games, but they are unbeaten in their last four on the road. The defeat against City was their first defeat in six games, but they're still only four points above the bottom three.

I still think Riyad Mahrez can do well for fantasy managers and he might get a chance to show that in this game.

I think Leicester should just about manage to get the better of West Ham in a close game.

Prediction: 1-2

Saturday November 25

Crystal Palace v Stoke City

3pm GMT, Selhurst Park, London

Palace led twice at home to Everton last week, but they had to settle for a point and they're still rooted to the foot of the table. All of Palace's five points have come at home in their last three home games and only Everton have conceded more goals at home. No other team has scored less goals with only West Ham conceding more and they haven't kept a clean sheet in their 12 games.

Wilfried Zaha looks capable of doing well for fantasy managers and he could possibly shine in this game.

Stoke led twice at Brighton on Monday night, but they had to settle for a point too. They have only won once in six away games, but they have taken four points from their last two away games while only Liverpool and West Ham have conceded more away goals. They have only won twice in their last 10 games and have only kept one clean sheet in those games with only West Ham conceding more goals.

Xhedran Shaqiri and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are both in reasonably good form for fantasy managers at the moment.

This looks like it could be another very close game and I wouldn't be surprised to see the spoils shared.

Prediction: 1-1

Manchester United v Brighton And Hove Albion

3pm GMT, Old Trafford, Manchester

United got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win at home to Newcastle last week, but they're still eight points behind City. They are one of only two teams with a 100% record at home with only City scoring more goals on their own patch and no other team conceding less. Only City have scored more goals than United and no other team has conceded less and they have kept eight clean sheets in their 12 games.

Paul Pogba looks like a very good option for fantasy managers now that he's back from injury as does Romelu Lukaku and all of United's defenders and keeper.

Brighton came from behind twice on Monday night to get a 2-2 draw at home to Stoke which keeps them safely in mid-table. They have won their last two away games without conceding a goal, but a trip to United is a step up from Swansea and West Ham. They are unbeaten in five games and have kept clean sheets in their three of their last seven games.

Pascal Gross is still the only Brighton player to really interest fantasy managers.

I think United should be too strong for Brighton and should win with a few goals to spare.

Prediction: 3-0

Newcastle United v Watford

3pm GMT, St. James Park, Newcastle

Newcastle led at United last week, but they ended up losing 4-1 and they have dropped into the bottom half of the table. They have won three of their six home games and their home form is going to be very important for them if they're going to stay up. They have lost their last three games and only scored one goal in those three games with only five teams scoring less goals so far.

Both Christian Atsu and Matt Richie have done quite well for fantasy managers and at a good price too.

Watford won 2-0 at home to West Ham last week and their progress this season could see them lose Marco Silva to Everton if the rumours are to be believed. They have won three of their six away games with only four teams taking more points away from home and only two teams have scored more goals on the road. That win last week ended a run of three defeats in a row and only the top six have scored more goals, but only four other teams have conceded more.

Richarlison has done very well so far and is almost a must have for fantasy managers at his price.

This is a game that could go either way and I wouldn't be surprised to see Watford get the better of proceedings.

Prediction: 1-2

Tottenham Hotspur v West Bromwich Albion

3pm GMT, Wembley Stadium, London

Spurs lost 2-0 away to Arsenal last week, but they're still just in the top four with three teams only one point behind them. They have already dropped more points at home than they did in all of last season, but they have won their last three at home and kept a clean sheet in three of their last four at home. They have lost two of their last three games and they only scored one goal in those three games, but only the two Manchester clubs have conceded less goals and they have six clean sheets in their 12 games.

When he's on form Harry Kane is a must have for fantasy managers, but he has drawn a blank far too often this season while all of Spurs defenders and keeper plus Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli are pretty good bets too.

West Brom lost 4-0 at home to Chelsea last week and that was the last straw for the owners as they showed Tony Pulis the door. They have lost four of their six away games and have failed to score in three of their last four on the road with only Palace scoring less goals away from home. They haven't won in 10 games and have lost their last four and they failed to score in three of those four defeats which leaves them only a single point above the drop zone.

I can't see any West Brom players to recommend to fantasy managers at the moment.

Despite not being at their best recently this is a game Spurs should win with relative ease.

Prediction: 3-0

Swansea City v Bournemouth

3pm GMT, Liberty Stadium, Swansea

Swansea lost 2-0 away to Burnley last week and only Palace are below them in the table, but they are still only two points from safety. They have lost five of their six home games and no other team has scored less goals at home. They have lost their last four games and have failed to score in seven of their 12 games with only Palace scoring less goals.

Tammy Abraham had been doing well for fantasy managers, but the goals have dried up in the last few weeks.

Bournemouth won 4-0 at home to Huddersfield last week and those three points moved them four points above the drop zone. They have lost four of their six away games, but they have won their last two on their travels. They have won three of their last four games as they have climbed the table and no other team in the bottom half of the table has conceded less goals.

If he continues in the form he showed last week then Calum Wilson is a very good choice for fantasy managers while Charlie Daniels continues to impress despite their sometimes dodgy defensive record.

This is a very big game for Swansea, but I think they could end up on the end of yet another negative result.

Prediction: 1-2

Liverpool v Chelsea

5.30pm GMT, Anfield, Liverpool

Liverpool won 3-0 at home to Southampton last week and they're only one point behind fourth placed Spurs. They have taken 14 points from their six home games and no other team has conceded less goals at home. They have won their last three games and scored 10 goals while conceding only one goal in those games with only the top two scoring more goals so far.

Mohamed Salah is an absolute must have for fantasy managers while Sadio Mane and Phillippe Coutinho are very good options too.

Chelsea won 4-0 away to West Brom last week and they're only one point behind second placed United. They have won five of their six away games with their only defeat coming away to bottom placed Palace and only City have scored more and conceded less goals away from home. They have won their last four games and kept clean sheets in their last three with six clean sheets in their 12 games so far.

Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard are in very good form for fantasy managers while the Chelsea defenders haven't done too badly either with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcus Alonso very hard to ignore despite their high prices.

This is a game that could go either way and I have a feeling Chelsea might just sneak it.

Prediction: 1-2

Sunday November 26

Southampton v Everton

12.30pm GMT, St. Mary's Stadium, Southampton

Southampton lost 3-0 away to Liverpool last week and they have slipped to only four points above the bottom three. They have only won two of their seven home games and failed to score in four of those games while they have lost three of their last five at home. They have only won once in their last seven games and only three teams have scored less goals.

I can't see any Southampton players to interest fantasy managers at the moment and they will continue to struggle until that changes.

Everton came from behind twice last week to draw 2-2 away to Palace, but they're still only three points above the relegation zone. They are one of three teams without an away win and only four teams have conceded more away goals. They have only won once in their last six games and they conceded 13 goals in those games with only West Ham conceding more goals so far.

I would have said Oumar Niasse is looking like a very reasonably priced striker for fantasy managers, but it looks like he could be banned for diving at Palace last week.

I think this will be another close game and the chances are it will end in a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Burnley v Arsenal

2pm GMT, Turf Moor, Burnley

Burnley won 2-0 at home to Swansea last week and they're level with both Arsenal and Liverpool on 22 points. They are unbeaten in five games at home and have kept a clean sheet in four of those games with only United and Liverpool conceding less goals at home and only Swansea scoring less. They have won their last three games without conceding a goal and they have six clean sheets in their last nine games with only the two Manchester clubs conceding less goals.

Burnley's defenders and keeper are their players to have for fantasy managers and each team should have at least one of them.

Arsenal won 2-0 at home to Spurs last week and they're only one point outside the top four and four points off second place. They have only taken four points from their six away games and only four teams have conceded more goals away from home. They have won three of their last four games and scored 10 goals in those four games with only four teams scoring more goals.

Alexandre Lacazette looks like he could be the best fantasy option in the Arsenal team at the moment with Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey all doing well too as are their defenders when they play at home.

I think this will be a very close game with Burnley so difficult to beat, but Arsenal might just abut take the three points.

Prediction: 1-2

Huddersfield v Manchester City

4pm GMT, John Smith's Stadium, Huddersfield

Huddersfield lost 4-0 away to Bournemouth last week despite playing against 10 men for all of the second half. They have taken 11 points from their six home games and won their last two at home with only Swansea scoring less goals at home. They have lost five of their last 10 games and they failed to score in seven of those 10 games with only the bottom two teams scoring less goals.

I can't see any Huddersfield players who might make a difference for fantasy managers at the moment.

City won 3-0 away to Leicester last week and some experts are already predicting they will go the whole season unbeaten. They are the only team with a 100% record away from home and they have scored more and conceded less goals than any other team away from home. They have won their last 10 games and have kept seven clean sheets in their 12 games and they're by far the top scoring team with only United conceding less goals.

Kevin de Bruyne is the best fantasy option in the City team right now, but he's closely followed by Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, David Silva and all of their defenders.

I think City should be far too good for Huddersfield and should win with a few goals to spare.

Prediction: 0-4

That's it for this week.

See you next week.
