Saturday November 23
West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur
12.30pm GMT, London Stadium, London
West Ham lost 3-0 away to Burnley in their last game and they’re now only two places above the bottom three. Only three teams have taken less points at home with only Southampton and Norwich conceding more goals at home. They haven’t won in their last six games and they conceded 13 goals in those games.
The way West Ham have being playing recently I can’t see any of their players to recommend to fantasy managers.
Spurs drew 1-1 at home to Sheffield United last time out, but they’re still in the bottom half of the table which ultimately cost Mauricio Pochettino his job. They’re one of only three teams without an away win with only Villa and Norwich conceding more goals on the road. They haven’t won in five games and they have only kept one clean sheet in their 12 games so far.
Heung-Min Son is probably the best of the Spurs players for fantasy managers at the moment while Harry Kane is always a good option too.
Neither of these teams are playing well at the moment which leads me to believe the game will end in a draw, but the new manager effect might just give Spurs an edge.
Prediction: 1-1
Arsenal v Southampton
3pm GMT, Emirates Stadium, London
Arsenal lost 2-0 away to Leicester in their last game and they’re now eight points off the top four despite being in sixth place. They’re one of only three teams unbeaten at home with only three other teams scoring more goals on their own patch. They haven’t won in four games and they have only won two of their last 10.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the only Arsenal player really worth considering for fantasy managers at the moment.
Southampton lost 2-1 at home to Everton in their last game and they’re only one point off the foot of the table. They have taken seven of their eight points away from home, but they only took one point in their last three away games. They have only taken one point in their last seven games and they conceded 23 goals in those games with no other team conceding more goals.
Despite their poor recent form Danny Ings has still done quite well for fantasy managers.
I think Arsenal should get three badly needed points in this game with a couple of goals to spare.
Prediction: 3-1
Bournemouth v Wolverhampton Wanderers
3pm GMT, Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
Bournemouth lost 2-1 away to Newcastle last time out, but they’re still in the top of the table. They have only lost one of their six home games and they kept clean sheets in their last two. They have only won once in their last six games and they kept clean sheets in three of those games as well as failing to score in three of them.
Bournemouth haven’t being scoring too many goals recently, but Josh King, Callum Wilson and Harry Wilson are all still worth considering for fantasy managers.
Wolves won 2-1 at home to Villa in their last game to move up to eighth place. They have only lost one of their six away games, but they have drawn four of them with only three other teams conceding less goals away from home. They’re unbeaten in seven games and they have scored in their last 11 games since failing to score in their opening game.
Raul Jiminez is in great form for fantasy managers at the moment and he’s certainly worth considering.
I think this will be a very close game with Wolves probably emerging with the three points.
Prediction: 1-2
Brighton And Hove Albion v Leicester City
3pm GMT, AMEX Stadium, Brighton
Brighton lost 3-1 away to United in their last game and that defeat saw them drop into the bottom half of the table on goal difference. They have won their last three home games and they scored eight goals in those games. Their recent home form suggests they could have a chance in this game, but it won’t be easy for them.
If he’s fit to play Aaron Connolly is a good back up striker for fantasy managers while Matt Ryan has been a very good choice so far too.
Leicester won 2-0 at home to Arsenal just before the international break to move up to second in the table. They have won their last two away games without conceding a goal and they scored 11 goals in those games with only City and Chelsea scoring more away goals and only Liverpool conceding less. They have won six of their last seven games and they scored 23 goals in those games with no other team conceding less goals.
There are so many Leicester players to choose from for fantasy managers with Jamie Vardy, James Maddison and Youri Tielemans probably the best of them, but it’s hard to ignore any of their defence or their keeper too.
I think Leicester are playing so well at the moment that they should take the three points in this game.
Prediction: 1-3
Crystal Palace v Liverpool
3pm GMT, Selhurst Park, London
Palace lost 2-0 away to Chelsea in their last game and that defeat saw them drop into the bottom half of the table. Only four other teams have taken less points at home and no other team has scored less goals at home, but only Leicester and Sheffield United have conceded less. They have only taken one point in their last four games and they failed to score in three of those games.
There aren’t too many Palace players doing too well for fantasy managers at the moment, but Jordan Ayew is a good cut price striker and Patrick van Aanholt is worth considering too.
Liverpool won 3-1 at home to City last time out to move eight points clear at the top of the table. They have won five of their six away games and no other team has conceded less goals on the road. They’re the only unbeaten team in the league, but they have only kept two clean sheets in their 12 games.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are still great choices for fantasy managers while Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are doing very well too.
I think Liverpool will continue their quest for their first league title in 30 years by winning this game.
Prediction: 1-2
Everton v Norwich City
3pm GMT, Goodison Park, Liverpool
Everton won 2-1 away to Southampton in their last game, but they’re still only three places above the relegation zone. They have won three of their six home games, but that home record will have to improve if they’re going to climb the table. The win at Southampton was only their second win in eight games and they have a tough run of games on the horizon.
I’m not sure there are any Everton players to recommend to fantasy managers at the moment, but that could be different for this game.
Norwich lost 2-0 at home to Watford in their last game and they’re now propping up the rest of the league. No other team has taken less points or scored less goals on their travels with only Villa and Watford conceding more away goals. They have only taken one point and scored two goals in seven games since beating City.
After their great start to the season for fantasy managers it’s impossible to recommend any Norwich players on current form.
I think Everton should win this game with at least a couple of goals to spare.
Prediction: 3-0
Watford v Burnley
3pm GMT, Vicarage Road, Watford
Watford won 2-0 away to Norwich last time out to move themselves off the foot of the table. They’re one of two teams without a home win and no other team has scored less goals at home. They have only lost one of their last five games even if their win against Norwich was their first win of the season, but no other team has scored less goals.
Gerard Deulofeu is in good form for fantasy managers at the moment and he’s certainly worth at least considering.
Burnley won 3-0 at home to West Ham in their last game and that was enough to move them back into the top half of the table. They’re one of three teams without an away win and only Norwich have taken less points away from home. They had lost their last three games before beating West Ham and only five teams have conceded more goals.
Chris Wood and Dwight McNeil are the best of the bunch in the Burnley team for fantasy managers, but they usually do their best work at home.
I think this will be a very close game and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the spoils shared.
Prediction: 1-1
Manchester City v Chelsea
5.30pm GMT, Etihad Stadium, Manchester
City lost 3-1 away to Liverpool last time out and they dropped two places to fourth in the table with Liverpool nine points ahead of them. Only Liverpool and Leicester have taken more points at home and no other team has scored more goals on their own patch. . They have lost two of their last five games though and they’re struggling a little defensively even if no other team has scored more goals.
Kevin de Bruyne is probably the City player most likely to play in every game for fantasy managers while David Silva, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero are great options too as long as they play.
Chelsea won 2-0 at home to Palace in their last game to move up to third in the table. They have won their last five away games and they scored 18 goals in those games with no other team scoring more goals on the road. They have won their last six games and they scored 15 goals in the process while only conceding four.
Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount are all doing really well for fantasy managers and you should have at least one of them in your team while Willian has been good in recent weeks too.
I think City’s attacking flair might just get the better of a dodgy Chelsea defence.
Prediction: 3-1
Sunday November 24
Sheffield United v Manchester United
4.30pm GMT, Bramall Lane, Sheffield
Sheffield United drew 1-1 away to Spurs in their last game to move up to fifth in the table. They have won their last two home games without conceding a goal and only Leicester have conceded less goals at home. They are unbeaten in their last five games and they only conceded two goals in those games with only Leicester conceding less goals.
Sheffield’s defenders have done very well for fantasy managers with John Lundstram the pick of them while Lys Mousset has done well in recent weeks.
United won 3-1 at home to Brighton last time out to move up to seventh place in the league. They have only won once in their six away games with only Norwich and Watford scoring less goals on the road. They have won two of their last three games and they scored six goals in those games after only scoring two in the previous four.
Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are the United players who could make a difference for fantasy managers.
I think this will be a very close game and a draw is probably the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 1-1
Monday November 25
Aston Villa v Newcastle United
8pm GMT, Villa Park, Birmingham
Villa lost 2-1 away to Wolves in their last game and they’re only one point above the bottom three. They have only lost once in their last five home games and it’s their home form that will help to keep them up. They have lost their last three games and they conceded seven goals in those games and they have a tough run of games coming up.
John McGinn is probably the best of the Wolves players for fantasy managers with Jack Grealish doing quite well too.
Newcastle won 2-1 at home to Bournemouth in their last game and they’re only in the bottom half of the table on goal difference. They have lost four of their six away games and no other team has conceded more goals away from home. They have taken 10 points from their last five games, but only Watford and Palace have scored less goals.
Ciaran Clarke has scored in Newcastle’s last two games, but it’s really a great idea for fantasy managers to pick Newcastle players.
I think this will be another close game, but I think home advantage will be enough to see Villa win.
Prediction: 2-1
That’s it for this week.
See you next week.
